Managing Cultural Diversity In Companies on-line event
MILMA Project has organized an on-line event where companies tell us first-hand how they manage diversity in their companies.
In September 2019, the MILMA Project identified Red Acoge as a key social agent in the identification and referral of migrants and refugees thanks to its work at the national level as a federation that brings together various NGOs working in the field of the defense of rights and the inclusion of migrants and refugees.
We signed in October 2020 a broad collaboration agreement for the development of joint activities.
After several meetings and thanks to the experience and lessons learned concerning the need for training and awareness of our MILMA companies for the recruitment and better management of their cultural diversity, we found possible synergies and reciprocal interests with its RED+D and SENSIBILIZA Programmes.
SENSIBILIZA Programme proposes tools for the management of diversity in the workplace and RED+D is a network of companies committed to diversity, a meeting place that allows inclusive companies and institutions to share ideas, experiences, and initiatives about diversity management, in which culture acts as the backbone of the different manifestations of diversity. It is funded by the ESF and the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security, and Migration of Spain.
It is within this framework that the idea of holding an event to raise awareness among companies about the benefits of managing cultural diversity arose.
Companies compete in increasingly global markets and the mobility of people from different origins is a reality that represents an opportunity. Project MILMA strongly believes that managing this diversity from a positive and constructive perspective can become a powerful ally in people management.
