Cities engaging in the right to housing - No one left behind Web conference
The online event offers a sneak preview of 2020 Report on Housing Exclusion in Europe, co-written by FEANTSA and Fondation Abbé Pierre and features city cases that directly tackle housing exclusion and discrimination through public projects, providing a practical response on the ground. It will also look at at opportunities at EU level to invest in the provision of adequate housing.
Building on the experience of UIA and URBACT cities, the EU urban agenda partnerships, practitioners and experts, this web conference is the second of a series on the role of cities in working to implement this fundamental right. The online event is designed as an interactive exchange bringing experienced voices, exploring municipal-led initiatives and looking at innovative solutions to tackle the challenges of homelessness and immigration. The outcomes of this webinar will build directly on the European Urban Agenda Partnerships on affordable housing work, on urban poverty and on inclusion of Migrants and Refugees and will feed the set of actions and recommendations in terms of better knowledge among cities, also aiming at pushing the agenda on the right to housing EU wide.
