The third Call for Proposals ran from 15/12/17 until 30/03/18. It was dedicated to four topics: Air quality, Adaptation to Climate change, Housing, and Jobs and skills in the local economy, with a total budget of circa EUR 100M. The approved projects were announced at the EUWRC on 10 October 2018.

As for the two first Calls, Italy and Spain clearly stand out in terms of interest shown for the 3rd Call, with over 50% of the total number of applications coming from these two countries. However, compared to previous years, the 2018 Call saw a greater participation of Central and Eastern European urban authorities - notably from Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria.
