Behaviour change for sustainable mobility -Join the online event!

Lahti
On 1 December, Urban Innovative Actions Initiative and the Policy Learning Platform of Interreg Europe are joining forces to reflect on behavior change for urban sustainable mobility. From 14:00 to 16:00 PM CET you are invited to join us to learn more and ask your questions directly to cities experimenting innovative solutions to push travellers from individual transport means and pull them to non-motorized transport or collective means.

Building on the Mobility knowledge activity that UIA is running this year, and its first results on behavioral change, this webinar will further explore how to push travellers from individual transport means and pull them to non-motorized transport or collective means.

Reducing carbon emissions of European transports will require a shift to active transportation and low-carbon public transport, but getting people to break their habits and shift away from private vehicles remains a key challenge for policy-makers.

What's on the agenda?

During the webinar, Ghent and Lahti UIA projects will present challenges and solutions that cities are facing when achieving behaviour change. In addition,  2 Interreg Europe project representatives will dive deeper into the solutions that are found in their projects to solve the faced challenges.

Sophie Gillaerts from the City of Ghent (TMaaS project) and Maria Mourfoulaki from the Centre for Research and Technology, Hellas (e-smartec project) will focus their presentations on data and information provision.

Anna Huttunen from the City of Lahti (CitiCAP project) and Kamila Dobek from the Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation, Poznan Science and Technology Park (PE4Trans project) will explore incentives for modal shift
