CURANT Journal 6: A new era for the project

This journal has been written 10 months after the end of the original three-year-long project. A new era guided by the city of Antwerp is now about to begin. This journal describes how the city of Antwerp is tackling the challenge of a new CURANT phase, and what are the main lessons that can be learnt from this great experience.

Fabio Sgaragli, the CURANT expert, takes us through the final conclusions of one of the first European innovation projects devoted to one of the most urgent and important challenges of our time: the integrations of migrants and refugees. Tackling this challenge is for EU cities both a necessary and a difficult task: the topic polarizes public opinion and engages all political sides.

CURANT is a courageous project, it has demonstrated that it is possible to offer an effective path to integration in society to the most fragile people of all: unaccompanied young refugees.
