An update on Passport4Work
The current state of affairs
Last year we mainly focused on formulating the project conditions, setting up the organizational structure and drawing up a vision that is supported by the 10 organizations in the project team. Another activity was the search for a database as a basis for realizing a Golden Standard of Skills; a fundamental part of the project. The choice fell on the American O*NET framework. O*NET is complemented, in collaboration with national stakeholders and initiatives, including TNO, House Of Skills and UWV, with other prominent frameworks (e.g. ESCO and CompetentNL). We also carried out research into comparable projects in the Netherlands and abroad and are starting up partnerships.
In 2020 we will focus on building, testing and implementing the innovative and online (career) tool. Interactive tools (gamification, neurogames and e-learning) map the hard and soft skills of a job seeker (their digital work 'passport'). We also want to use the tool to encourage job seekers to keep developing and improving themselves. We will soon be testing the first version with a panel and from there will further optimize the tool.
Realisation of communication means
In addition to the development of the online tool, we also worked hard on the realization of various means of communication. In addition to this new digital newsletter, what else is coming soon:
• Project website.
• Animation film with an introduction to the project.
We are looking forward to sharing these with you as soon as they are realized!
