1st Call for Proposals: Update on the Strategic assessment

Considering the great number of applications received under the first Call for Proposals (378), the Strategic Assessment phase has taken longer than initially expected.
The Permanent Secretariat is now finalising the process for the strategic assessment together with the European Commission and the Entrusted Entity. It is expected that a notification on the outcome of the Strategic Assessment will be sent to all eligible projects by mid-July.
Following the strategic assessment carried out by a Panel of External Experts, projects not shortlisted for the Operational Assessment (third and last step of the selection process) will receive a notification. The notification will include the main comments from the Panel of External Experts concerning the four criteria considered for the Strategic Assessment: innovativeness, partnership, measurability and transferability. Projects shortlisted for the Operational Assessment will receive an email with further information about the next steps.
Please visit our Call for Proposals page for more information on the selection process. Please also be informed that no list of shortlisted projects will be published.
The final decision on approved projects will be taken and communicated to urban authorities in October 2016.
Please do not hesitate to contact the UIA Permanent Secretariat should you have any question.
