UIA workshop at the European Week of Regions and Cities

EUWRC UIA
The European Week of Regions and Cities is the annual event organised by Committee of the Regions and DG Regional and Urban Policy for cities and regions. It will take place in Brussels from 09 to 12 October 2017. UIA will host a workshop on 10 October together with DG REGIO. Registrations are now closed.

As every year, local and regional authorities, national and European decision makers, programmes and associations will gather in Brussels to exchange and learn about how to implement the Cohesion Policy and showcase their good results. The event welcomes every year  6000 participants around workshops, exhibitions, debates and networking opportunities. In 2017, the European Week of Regions and Cities will reach its 15th birthday, and it will be the occasion for participants to contribute to the debate on Europe's future. Under the main headline "Regions and Cities for a better future", this years' edition will be focused on three sub-themes:

  • Building resilient regions and cities
  • Regions and cities as change agent
  • Sharing knowledge to deliver results

UIA and DG REGIO will organise a workshop on 10 October 2017 from 14:30 to 17:00. You will have the opportunity to hear testimonies from the successful cities selected under the 1st Call, but also to learn more about the topics selected for the 3rd Call. The workshop will also be the occasion to announce the names of the cities selected for Call 2 on the topics integration of migrants and refugees, urban mobility and circular economy!

Make sure to book your seat for this workshop and register here. The code of the UIA workshop is 10B116.
