The "CITIES Forum 2020" is a two-day major event of the European Commission bringing together key stakeholders from European, national and local levels. The Forum is a place for all stakeholders to capitalise on common achievements and reflect on the future directions of urban development within Cohesion Policy including the future of the Urban Agenda for the EU.
With 75 projects now ongoing and a great wealth of knowledge and experiences already generated, UIA will have a key role during the event. The Forum will also be the first occasion to gather all UIA cities with a dedicated session on 30th January morning (closed session).
The UIA Initiative and UIA cities are featured in four sessions:
- Thursday 30/01, 10:00-12:00 - Session for the Urban Innovative Actions cities
Please note that this workshop is a working session reserved for UIA cities only in order to structure their future peer-reviewing activities.
- Friday 31/01, 09:00-10:30 - Cities engaging on the right to housing
This workshop on Housing will be jointly organised by UIA and URBACT.
- Friday 31/01, 10:30-11:50 - Scaling up the transition towards a circular economy in cities
